Root Canal Treatment
Save your Natural Tooth with Advanced & Comfortable Procedures.
What is Root Canal Treatment?
Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is a dental procedure designed to save a severely decayed or infected tooth. Every tooth has three main layers: Enamel, Dentin and Cementum, protecting the tooth circulation and nerves called the Pulp. When decay remains in the enamel or dentin, it can often be repaired with a simple filling. However, once the infection reaches the pulp, it leads to pain, swelling and deep sensitivity. At this stage, an RCT is necessary to preserve the natural tooth.
During the root canal procedure, the infected pulp is carefully removed, all the canals are cleaned & disinfected and the tooth is filled with biomaterial, then sealed to prevent further infection. This process not only eliminates pain but also strengthens the tooth with a protective restoration, such as a crown.
If the infection is ignored for long, it may spread, leading to severe dental issues or even tooth loss. The infection may sometimes even spread to the face and other related parts. That’s why root canal therapy is one of the most effective and reliable treatments to stop infection and save the tooth. Modern dentistry has made RCT nearly painless, quick and highly successful.
If you’re experiencing tooth pain or sensitivity, a professional evaluation can determine whether RCT is the right solution for you.

Root Canal Treatment: Symptoms, Pain Relief & Expert Care
Persistent and Intense Pain
Constant toothache or sharp pain while chewing or applying pressure can indicate a deep infection requiring immediate root canal treatment for pain management.
Increased Sensitivity
Prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold foods even after the temperature stimulus is removed is a common sign of pulp irritation.
Swelling and Tenderness
Inflamed or swollen gums around the affected tooth may signal an underlying infection inside the root canal.
Tooth Discolouration
A darkened or discoloured tooth often shows internal damage and may require dental root canal treatment to save the tooth.
Pain While Biting or Chewing
Discomfort when eating or biting can indicate nerve involvement within the tooth, making root canal treatment necessary.
Why Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is important?
Understanding RCT in dentistry helps you see why it becomes necessary. A root canal is needed when the inner part of the tooth (the pulp) gets infected, inflamed or severely damaged. In this condition, the tooth cannot repair itself, which can lead to pain and further problems. RCT gently removes the infection, protects the tooth and restores the overall oral health. Below are the most common reasons one may require RCT treatment:
Infection Inside the Tooth
Untreated Deeper Tooth Decay
Persistent Toothache or Pressure Pain
Abscess Formation
Cracked or Fractured Teeth
