Botox & Dermal Fillers
Smooth, Lift & Restore — Expert Aesthetic Injectables
Botox and dermal fillers are two of the world’s most popular non-surgical aesthetic treatments. Botox relaxes overactive facial muscles to soften dynamic wrinkles, while dermal fillers restore lost volume, define contours, and plump areas that have thinned with age. Together, they deliver a naturally refreshed, lifted appearance — without surgery or downtime.

What is Botox & Dermal Fillers?
Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is a purified protein that, when injected into specific facial muscles in tiny doses, temporarily blocks the nerve signals that cause those muscles to contract. This relaxes the muscle and smooths the overlying skin — reducing the appearance of lines caused by repeated facial expressions. Results last 3–6 months.
Dermal fillers are injectable gels — most commonly hyaluronic acid (HA) — that physically add volume beneath the skin. HA is a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains moisture. When injected, fillers instantly plump hollowed areas, smooth deep folds, and contour the face. Results last 9–18 months depending on the product and area.

Treatment Process
Aesthetic Consultation & Face Mapping
Your dermatologist conducts a thorough assessment of your facial anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals. A personalised injectable plan is mapped on your face to determine placement, product choice, and dosage.
Medical History Review
You will be asked about medications, allergies, and any previous filler or Botox treatments. Contraindications are screened carefully.
Numbing & Preparation
For fillers, a topical numbing cream is applied 20–30 minutes before. Most HA fillers also contain lidocaine for built-in comfort. Botox typically requires minimal to no numbing.
Injection Procedure
Using ultra-fine needles or blunt-tipped cannulas (for fillers in certain areas), the product is carefully deposited at precise depths. The entire procedure takes 15–45 minutes depending on areas treated.
Assessment & Aftercare Briefing
Results are reviewed immediately post-procedure. Your dermatologist provides specific aftercare instructions and schedules a review in 2 weeks for Botox (where fine-tuning may be done).

The Botox & Dermal Fillers Procedure at Ivy Clinics
All injectable treatments at Ivy Clinics are performed exclusively by our qualified dermatologist — never by nurses, technicians, or aestheticians without medical training. We use only internationally certified, brand-name products (Allergan, Galderma) and maintain strict cold-chain storage protocols. Every patient undergoes a full facial analysis and a medical review before any injection is administered. We believe in subtle, natural-looking results that enhance your features — not change them. A 2-week review is included for all Botox treatments.
Is It Safe?
Yes, when administered by a qualified medical professional using certified products. Botox has over 30 years of clinical use and an excellent safety record. HA dermal fillers are biocompatible (naturally break down in the body) and reversible with hyaluronidase. At Ivy Clinics, all injectables are performed by a trained dermatologist in a sterile clinic setting. Common post-treatment effects (mild swelling, redness, bruising at injection sites) are temporary and resolve within days. Rare complications are further minimised by the expertise of our practitioners.

How to Prepare for Your Session
- Avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen) and supplements (fish oil, vitamin E) for 5–7 days before to minimise bruising
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session
- Do not get fillers within 2 weeks of a special event to allow settling time
- Arrive with clean skin — no heavy makeup
- Inform your doctor of any dental procedures planned within 2 weeks (relevant for filler patients)
Precautions
- Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24–48 hours post-injection
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after Botox (can cause migration)
- Sleep on your back (not face-down) the night after filler treatment
- Avoid high heat — saunas, steam rooms, and intense sun exposure for 48 hours
- Avoid facials, skin treatments, or pressure on the treated area for 2 weeks
What to Expect After Treatment
Botox results begin to appear within 3–5 days and are fully visible by 2 weeks. Results last 3–6 months. Filler results are immediate, though mild swelling may be present for 24–72 hours. Final filler results are best assessed at 2 weeks once swelling has settled. HA fillers last 9–18 months depending on the area and product density. Both treatments require periodic maintenance to sustain results. Bruising, if present, typically resolves within 5–7 days and can be covered with makeup after 24 hours.
