Mesotherapy for Hair
Direct Nourishment to the Scalp for Stronger, Denser Hair
Hair Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that delivers a customised blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and hair-growth-stimulating agents directly into the scalp via micro-injections. By bypassing the skin barrier and targeting the mesoderm layer where hair follicles reside, mesotherapy provides follicles with the precise nutrients they need to grow stronger and healthier hair.

What is Advanced Exosome Therapy for Hair?
Mesotherapy for hair involves the micro-injection of a specially formulated cocktail of active ingredients directly into the mesoderm — the layer of tissue at the level of the hair follicle (approximately 1–4mm depth). Because these ingredients are delivered directly to the follicle’s micro-environment, their bioavailability is far greater than that of oral supplements or topical treatments that must pass through multiple barriers to reach the follicle.
The mesotherapy solution used at Ivy Clinics is customised by our dermatologist and typically includes a combination of: biotin and B-complex vitamins (essential for keratin synthesis), zinc and copper (co-factors for hair growth enzymes), amino acids (building blocks for hair protein), DHT-blocking agents (to address hormonal hair loss), and hyaluronic acid (to improve scalp hydration and circulation). Some formulations also contain minoxidil or finasteride in micro-doses for targeted effect without systemic exposure.
The result is improved follicle nutrition, better scalp microcirculation, reduced DHT activity at the follicle level, and progressively stronger, thicker hair growth.

Treatment Process at The IVY Clinics
Consultation & Scalp Assessment
Your dermatologist evaluates your hair loss type, scalp condition, and potential nutritional gaps. A customised mesotherapy cocktail is formulated for your specific needs.
Scalp Preparation & Numbing
The scalp is cleansed. A topical numbing cream is applied for 30–40 minutes to minimise discomfort from the injections.
Micro-Injection
Using a fine needle or a multi-needle meso-gun device, the customised solution is injected at multiple points across the thinning areas at a shallow depth (1–4mm). The session takes 30–45 minutes.
Post-Injection Soothing
A calming scalp serum is applied after the injections. Any immediate redness or sensitivity is expected and resolves within a few hours to a day.
Treatment Course
An initial course of 6–8 sessions (weekly or fortnightly) is recommended, followed by monthly maintenance sessions once the desired hair density is achieved.

The Mesotherapy for Hair Procedure at Ivy Clinics
At Ivy Clinics, hair mesotherapy cocktails are selected and administered by our qualified dermatologist — not technicians. We use medically certified mesotherapy solutions and single-use sterile needles for every session. The composition of the mesotherapy blend may be adjusted between sessions based on how your scalp and hair respond. We offer both manual micro-injection and automated meso-gun delivery, choosing the most appropriate method based on the treatment area and patient comfort. Our protocols follow international dermatology guidelines for mesotherapy in hair loss management.
Is It Safe?
Yes. Hair mesotherapy is a well-established treatment used widely across dermatology clinics globally. It is minimally invasive and uses medically approved, water-soluble ingredients that are well-tolerated by the scalp. When performed with sterile, single-use needles by a trained dermatologist, the risk of serious adverse effects is very low. Common temporary effects include mild scalp redness, pinpoint tenderness, and occasional minor bruising — all of which resolve within 24–48 hours.

How to Prepare for Your Session
- Wash your hair with a mild shampoo on the morning of treatment
- Avoid applying heavy oils, dry shampoo, or styling products on the day
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session
- Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, aspirin) for 3–5 days prior
- Inform your doctor of all current medications — particularly those containing minoxidil or finasteride, as the mesotherapy formulation may need to be adjusted
Precautions
- Avoid washing hair for 12–24 hours post-session
- Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for 24 hours
- Do not apply any hair products directly to the scalp for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid direct sun exposure on the scalp — use a hat outdoors for 48 hours
- Do not undergo chemical hair treatments within 1 week of your session
What to Expect After Treatment
After each session, mild scalp redness and pinpoint tenderness are normal and typically resolve within a few hours. Patients usually begin to notice a reduction in hair fall within the first 3–4 sessions (approximately 4–6 weeks into the course). Hair shaft quality — thickness, strength, and shine — often improves noticeably before new density becomes visible. Full results from a complete course of 6–8 sessions are typically appreciated at 3–4 months. Monthly maintenance sessions are recommended to sustain the follicular environment and prevent regression.
